On 16 Feb 2005 an article by David Twersky appeared in the The New York Sun berating Rabbi Arthur Hertzberg
and heaping shame on him for the support and endorsement he had supposedly given to LaRouche, as claimed by
EIR, the LaRouche news gathering organ.

Rabbi Hertzberg has now issued the following denial of the false claim by LaRouche:-

Dear Mrs. Duggan,

I have your email of today, 28 February 2005, and I am upset for you and outraged for both of us.
I cannot, of course, deal with the substance of your quarrel with the German police except to wish you success
in insisting that they must accept responsibility.

I am, however, outraged for both of us that someone is lying to you to suggest that I am in support of LaRouche,
and especially on the matter of the possibility that he has not abandoned the anti-Semitism of 25 years ago.

I have never said or even implied any identification with Lyndon LaRouche.

I have been interviewed a couple of times by people who printed what I had to say in one of the journals published by LaRouche,
but I had no idea at the time that he had any of the history which you have, and now others, have described.

You will not find anywhere in anything I have said the slightest endorsement of him.  Do not believe anybody who equates the
printing of an interview with an endorsement of the medium in which the interview appeared and especially not in this case where
charges of anti-Semitism have been levelled and I am now investigating them.

With warmest good wishes,

Yours sincerely,

Arthur Hertzberg
