Bias by those in Office
Were lawyers for the Attorney General conducting their affairs by holding private conversations? It was stated that the Coroner Dr Dolman would be submitting his views and yet if nothing is recorded then the applicant is denied the right to comment. This is against principles of openness and transparency advocated by the present Government. It is stated in the application by Erica Duggan to the Attorney General that the first Inquest was insufficient with evidence of irregularities and Fraud. Dr Dolman wrote to our lawyers stating he would adopt a neutral stance and yet it is recorded that he spoke on the phone to the Attorney General’s office and was not in favour of a new Inquest. The statement by the Attorney General with its promise for full disclosure was accepted in good faith by the Duggan legal team. The Duggans have indisputable evidence that there was not a proper investigation in Germany. No doctor examined the body to see if the injuries were caused by being hit and run over by cars. No witness statements and much more besides. Much INFORMATION was missed. Will the Attorney General close the door on a case where we do not know the cause of death and in what circumstances? For the last five years this is what has been the subject of the Duggan’s legal complaints in their legal attempts to get a proper investigation in Germany. Legal complaints that they have waited more than 4 years to get answered and all these complaints heard without access to a Court Hearing or involvement of the family. The Duggan family also would need to know what views were expressed by the British Coroner Dr Dolmans as there are documents to show grave concerns about his presentation of the case before, during and after the first Inquest.
